Perspectives on Photo-Realism in Watercolor

studio shot      I am new to the larger market of the art world, although I have been known around my community and my peers for a significant number of years for my unique style of painting and detail I am able to achieve with watercolor. I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1983 with a BFA in Theatrical Set Design and Scenic Painting. I was graced with private study under Dr. Andreas C. Nomikos, Director of Theatrical Design there, for three mornings every week for the duration of my college education. I was also permitted to take graduate level courses beginning my first semester freshman year.

I have entered several local competitions and exhibits over the years, procuring first and second place in the “Watercolor” and “Work Under Glass” categories in The Burlington County Art Guild’s Art Exhibit in Smithville, NJ in 1993. I exhibited my original works in Emmie’s Galleries, formerly of Marlton, NJ in 1995. I exhibited in the Woodmere Museum’s 48th Annual Members’ Exhibition in 1998 in Philadelphia, PA. I have entered several online art competitions recently, including The Artist’s Magizine Competition in 2013 and the PAWCS 2013 3rd Member’s Online Show.
